Code of Conduct

Effective date: 15 June 2026  ·  Last updated: 15 June 2026

Smash&Clash is the official digital edition of the Smash&Clash strategic card-battle game, and it is meant to be fun for everyone. This Code of Conduct (our “Community Guidelines”) sets out how players are expected to behave whenever they use any of the Game’s online or social features — online multiplayer, public profiles, friends, clubs, and leaderboards — and any display name or club name shown to other people. It applies wherever you play.

The short version: Play fair, be kind, and keep it family-friendly. No cheating, bots, or manipulating the standings (the match engine is deterministic, and standings are cosmetic and self-published, so there’s genuinely nothing to gain by faking them). No harassment, bullying, hate speech, or sexual, violent, or otherwise age-inappropriate content. No impersonation. Keep your display name and club name clean and don’t reveal other people’s private information. If something’s wrong, tell us at support@smashandclash.in. Break the rules and we may remove the content, reset a name, take down a profile or leaderboard entry, or suspend or ban access to online play — and a breach of this Code is also a breach of our Terms of Service.

1. The spirit of the community

Smash&Clash is for everyone — kids and grown-ups, newcomers and veterans, friends playing across the room or strangers matched up across the world. We want a community that is welcoming, family-friendly, and fair: a place where a great play earns a “nice one,” where new players feel free to learn, and where the result of a match comes down to skill and a bit of luck — never to cheating or bullying.

This Code is written in plain language so the expectations are clear. The golden rule is simple: treat other players the way you’d want to be treated, and keep everything you put in front of others suitable for a general audience. If something you’re about to type, name, or do wouldn’t be okay in a friendly public game with players of all ages, please don’t.

2. Who and where this Code covers

This Code applies to every player who uses any social or online feature of Smash&Clash — online multiplayer, public profiles (/player/<id>), friends, clubs, community leaderboards, the Agent Arena, and any display name or club name that other people can see. It applies regardless of how you signed in: whether you use an optional account, your Discord or Whop display name, or play as a local guest identity.

It applies on every surface the Game runs on — the web at www.smashandclash.in, the Android (Google Play) and Windows app editions, the upcoming iOS edition, the embedded Whop app, the Discord Activity, and inside ChatGPT via the OpenAI Apps SDK. (Purely on-device play against the AI, local hotseat, the tutorial, and mutators don’t involve other people — but if anything you create there becomes visible to others, this Code applies to it.)

3. Fair play & anti-cheat

Competition only means something when it’s honest. The Smash&Clash engine is a deterministic lockstep simulation — both players run the exact same game from the same seed and the same moves — so a match plays out fairly by design. Trying to break, bend, or game that system is not allowed. In particular, do not:

Standings are cosmetic and self-published. Profiles, ranks, win rates, and community leaderboards are for-fun snapshots that your own device publishes — they unlock nothing, cost nothing, and buy nothing. Because they are self-published, the determinism of the engine doesn’t by itself stop someone from posting a falsified snapshot — that’s exactly why this Code prohibits it. There is genuinely nothing to gain by gaming these numbers, and manipulating shared community data spoils the experience for everyone else. (The one place results are independently checked is the Agent Arena, where our server re-simulates every reported match to verify the outcome.)

One legitimate exception: the Agent Arena is designed for sanctioned AI agents (for example, via Poke, ChatGPT, or Claude) to challenge humans through named CPU personas. That is an intended feature with its own server-verified rules — the server re-simulates each match to confirm the result — and it is not “botting” in ordinary online multiplayer, which remains strictly human-vs-human.

4. No harassment, bullying, threats, or abuse

Treat other players with respect. Through any visible field, name, club, or in-match interaction, do not:

Friendly rivalry and good-natured banter are part of the fun. Making another person feel unsafe, unwelcome, or attacked is not.

5. No hate speech or discrimination

There is no place here for hate. Do not post, display, or use content — including in display names, club names, and profile fields — that attacks, demeans, dehumanises, or promotes hatred or violence against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic. Slurs, hateful symbols, and dog-whistles aimed at a protected group are prohibited regardless of intent.

6. No sexual, violent, illegal, or otherwise age-inappropriate content

Smash&Clash is a general-audience, family-friendly product (rated ESRB E, PEGI 3, IARC 3+, and marketed for ages 7 and up), and online and social features are open to players aged 13 and over. Keep everything you put in front of others suitable for that audience. In any name, club name, profile field, or interaction, do not include:

You also must not use the Game to promote or facilitate illegal activity — including illegal goods or regulated products, terrorism or violent extremism, fraud or scams, or self-harm. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is absolutely prohibited. We have zero tolerance for it: any such content results in an immediate permanent ban and is reported to the appropriate authorities.

7. No impersonation or false identity

Be yourself. Do not impersonate, or pretend to be, the Game’s creator or operator, our staff or moderators, another player, a real person, a brand, or an official body. Do not use a display name, club name, avatar, or profile that misleads others into thinking you are someone you are not, or that falsely implies you are official, verified, or sponsored by Smash&Clash.

8. Display-name & club-name standards

Your display name and club name are visible to other people, so they have to meet a basic standard. A name (or club name) must not:

We may rename, reset, hide, or reclaim any display name or club name that breaches these standards, and we may reclaim names that are reserved or that have been registered in bad faith (for example, squatting on a name to block or impersonate someone).

9. No spam, advertising, or solicitation

Keep the community clean. Do not spam names, profiles, or club fields; do not run scams, phishing, or other deceptive schemes; do not post unsolicited advertising or promotions; and do not post links, contact details, or off-platform solicitations in any field shown to other players.

10. Respect others’ privacy

Don’t expose other people’s private information. Do not post, share, or publish someone else’s personal details — such as their real name, home or work address, phone number, email, school or workplace, photos, or location data — whether to embarrass, threaten, or “dox” them, and whether or not they are another player.

About IP addresses in online play: online multiplayer uses a direct peer-to-peer connection, and — as is inherent to that technology — a player’s network/IP address can briefly become visible to the player they are connected with, and to a STUN helper server used to set up the link, so the direct connection can be formed. This is a normal part of forming the connection (our Privacy Policy explains exactly which parties are involved). You must never capture, log, publish, or weaponise another player’s IP address or network information against them.

11. Age-appropriate behaviour & protecting minors

Because Smash&Clash is a general-audience game, players of many ages share these online spaces — so keep all visible content appropriate for a family audience. Accounts and online and social features require you to be at least 13. You must not:

12. Authenticity of profiles, clubs & standings

Public profiles and community/club/leaderboard standings are cosmetic, self-published snapshots — your display name, rating, games played, win rate, rank, favourite champion, and recent form (for example, “WWLDW”). They are meant to reflect real play. Do not:

Clubs & communities. Club owners and members are responsible for keeping club names and shared spaces compliant with this Code. Misusing club invite codes, attempting club takeovers, or using a club to coordinate harassment, cheating, or rule-evasion is prohibited. We may rename or dissolve a non-compliant club.

13. Platform rules also apply

When you play inside another platform, you must also follow that platform’s rules — for example, Google Play and Apple App Store policies, the Whop Community Guidelines, Discord’s Community Guidelines and Terms inside the Discord Activity, and OpenAI’s usage policies inside ChatGPT. A platform may take its own action (such as removing content or restricting your access) in addition to, or separately from, anything we do.

14. How to report a problem

If you see a name, profile, club, or behaviour that breaks this Code, please tell us. Email support@smashandclash.in and, where you can, include:

Reports are reviewed by the Game’s creator and Founder, Harshit Khemani. We appreciate good-faith reports — they help keep the community safe.

15. How we enforce this Code

We aim to enforce this Code firmly but fairly. When something goes wrong, we generally respond in proportion to what happened — taking into account the severity of the conduct, the intent behind it, the harm caused, and whether it is a repeat. Depending on the situation, we may take one or more of the following steps:

Severe cases — for example, child sexual abuse material, credible threats of violence, or other serious illegal activity — may result in an immediate permanent ban and referral to the appropriate authorities, without prior warning. Enforcement is carried out under the suspension and termination provisions of our Terms of Service, and a breach of this Code is itself a breach of the Terms.

Discretion, fairness, and appeals. We apply this Code reasonably and in good faith, and we do not always catch everything — choosing not to act on a particular issue is not a waiver of our right to act on it later or in other cases. If you believe a moderation, suspension, or ban decision was made in error, you may contact support@smashandclash.in to ask about it or to appeal.

16. Relationship to other documents & updates

This Code of Conduct works together with, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service, and it should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. Words defined in those documents carry the same meaning here. We may update this Code from time to time; when we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the current version on the site. Continuing to use the Game’s online and social features after an update means you accept the revised Code.

This Code of Conduct applies to the online and social features of the Smash&Clash web edition, its Android (Google Play) and Windows app editions, and the Whop, Discord, and ChatGPT surfaces, which share the same codebase. See also our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy.
