How to play Smash&Clash

Two players alternate turns placing one card on a shared three-by-five board. Captures flip enemy cards when your side value meets or beats theirs. The deck has fifty-one cards (forty-six champions and five effects).

Setup

Shuffle the common deck. Each player draws five cards. Seat A plays from the bottom; seat B from the top. All fifteen tiles start empty.

Playing a character card

Place a character on any empty tile. Check the four orthogonal neighbors (not diagonals). Each neighbor that faces the opponent and is not frozen can be captured if your placed side value is greater than or equal to the neighbor's facing value. Captured cards rotate 180° and count for you immediately. There are no chain captures.

End of the game

When all fifteen tiles are full, count cards facing each player. Higher total wins. With fifteen tiles, a tie is impossible.

Mutators vs Classic

Mutators (default) adds operator tiles, power tiles, hops, and overrun zones. Classic turns those extras off.
